You are a first timer in blogging (in other words a beginner-blogger) yes, but what does that really mean for you, and your blogging success?

That question I truly understand and believe is quite relative. Although it depends with what who reads it looks at it and also how they take it. But what I can say is that it matters more to what your intention (reason) to create a blog and start blogging was. This is what I have come to understand since I started blogging, though not long ago. Its almost 3years now since I started this crucial and important blogging journey in my life.

Anyway, as we continue, here are the 10 beginner-blogger tips to guide you up so that you don't make some of the mistakes that I made when starting up as a beginner too.

Tip #1. Create Content Your Way (Differently).

Never rely on what the whole industry thinks, or what it feels should be the right way to do things, because in blogging every niche market has an audience and be sure that you will serve them. No matter what people says n the industry, they may not be always right.

Deviate away from the pack and do or write in a different style that you can use to package your own ideas. That way your audience will be able to easily identify with what and/or how you address their needs in a way that does not resemble the rest, but the ideas that solves their needs.

Tip #2. Select a Niche Topic for Writing.

Find a list of topics that fall within your niche and base your content creation or writing on them. This way as a beginner, you will be able to atleast find more ideas that you can write about. How about a list of between 1-10 niche topics. So you can come up with a list of idea topics.

The reason why you need to come with a list is to cushion you from writers block and to prevent you from running out of ideas.

Tip #3. Build E-mail List for Marketing.

Come up with a targeted e-mail list subscription plan that you can rely on whenever you start building your niche target audience and serve them diligently. Do forget them, when you publish a new blog post they must be the ones to get the information about it first.

An email list will provide you with a rich source of targeted audience that if well utilized then can turn a good customer base.

Tip #4: Passion and Consistency.

Writing and publishing your blog posts or contents is one thing in blogging, but being consistent with it is another important thing altogether. As a blogger, but especially you as a beginner-blogger you shouldn't be too reluctant in giving quality and consistent contents to your audience. A new blog or website needs its consistent audience reach through contents thats you are also passionate about.

Now, publishing what you are not passionate about is also another challenge because that will only show in what you publish to your audience.

So consistency and passion is key in any blog especially for you as a beginner to gain presence, reach and relevance.

The knowledge base is refined through topic by topic basis keyword research. The ideas and knowledge about what your audience needs comes from your keywords research to identify several topical ideas of what to write about. This will help you come up with topics within your knowledge base that can make you appear as the industry authority within your niche area.

Tip #6: The drive to help others through value.

Blogging is not just for fun, even if its a hobby blog, but most importantly it's all about coming up with content ideas that will inform and the same time help solve other people's problems. For instance, show them (audience) how to write quality niche blog contents, if thats your knowledge base area. In others words make your blog a resource or reference point site for your audience and/or fellow bloggers.

So strive to solve someone else's problem first, because that is and should always the main goal or purpose of blogging.

Tip #7: Build Blog followers.

If you want to go far then walk with others, you should never walk alone. That adage too works in blogging in that if you want to succeed in your blogging journey then build an audience, who will in turn concert to follows and customers in the long run. But through which strategies or methods do you use to build a strong blog followers, who will turn to be your customers and help you succeed in making money online for instance. There are so many ways to do that, and one of them is through social media e.g Facebook, twitter, Pinterest etc.

Tip #8: Do Content Marketing.

Do content marketing to create awareness of your own blog or website. Just the way you are engaged by a client to do marketing through content to spread good ideas and messages about them is the way you should also let the world (your audience) to know about how you can help them up.

Blogging can sometimes be tough, especially if you do things the wrong way. If you use the conventional or old way methods, that is when you use the manual strategies to enhance your web presence out there. And that is now where blogging tools come in. So be minimal with what you post lest you get banned very quickly.

An example is the Facebook groups, which is you don't follow each group's rules then you will get banned instantly. So to succeed in them, be minimal with your contents sharing.

I have been through all that and now I know atleast better on what to do so that I can avoid the pitfalls of blogging.
